Our nest boxes are ever evolving with improved designs and materials.
All of our boxes are made from the highest quality exterior grade (marine glue) plywoods. They are produced on a high precision CNC nesting machine. All components are accurately cut, have routed internal ladders and are precision pre-drilled.

The plywood is sourced from Engineered Wood Products Association of Australia (EWPPAA) certified manufacturers. The plywood is a full hardwood construction, utilising mixed light hardwoods from renewable resources. The exterior of the box is a high quality grade paintable surface.

Choosing the right nest box

Nest Boxes Australia manufactures nest boxes that are designed for use by native Australian birds and mammals. These boxes are specifically designed for exterior use and to withstand the harsh climatic conditions that are prevalent in Australia. The boxes are all designed and manufactured at our large manufacturing plant at Loganholme in Brisbanes southern suburbs. All of our boxes are made from the highest quality exterior grade plywoods with marine grade glue. They are produced on a high precision CNC nesting machine. All components are accurately cut, have routed internal ladders and are precision pre-drilled.

Range of Nesting Boxes

Economy Flat Pack Range
The most popular species that inhabit nest boxes are small parrots (Rosellas and Lorikeets). With that in mind, we have developed an economy version of nest box for these species.
If you are looking for a lightweight, serviceable, long life Nest Box, then choose from our economy range of nest boxes.
The economy range is manufactured from quality, 12mm thick plywood. The economy range is shipped as a flat pack, pre-drilled with all required screws.

Heavy Duty Flat Pack Range
For a sturdy, more robust box with better insulation properties, choose from our heavy duty range of nest boxes.
The heavy duty range is manufactured from 18mm thick hardwood ply and the are shipped as a flat pack with all required screws, including coach screws for tree mounting.
Ou latest innovation is to integrate the mounting plate as part of the rear panel, eliminating the need for a seperate mounting kit. These boxes can still be readily wired to the tree if that is the preference.
Some boxes, such as the Microbat and Pardalote boxes are a little more technical, so we ship these readily assembled.

Heavy Duty Ready To Mount Range

For convenience, we also supply nest boxes ready to mount. These are from our heavy duty range and come fully assembled and sealed with two coats of exterior decking oil. Holes are pre-drilled for passing mounting wire through and coach screws are provided for mounting direct to the tree.
